Any last hopes Little Mix's legion of fans had of the girl band reuniting seem to have faded.
The band announced in December 2021 they were taking a hiatus a year after Jesy Nelson left. However, despite claiming they were not breaking up, the latest move seems to signify there won't be any future Little Mix tours.
The group, which is made up of Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards, have begun liquidating their Eternal Magic Touring Ltd. The company is reported to be worth £11.9million and is the company that takes in money from their live music performances. Shutting down the company will have a tax bill of around £1.1million - and will also have other costs, according to The Sun. However, the trio are said to then be sharing the remaining fortune worth almost £10million.
In 2021, the band took to social media to announce they were stepping back from working together. In a Twitter/X statement, they wrote: "It's been 10 amazing years, a wonderful non-stop adventure, and we feel the time is right to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects."
However, they insisted at the time: "We are not splitting up - Little Mix are here to stay." Since their hiatus, the trio have embarked on solo careers. Jesy has also focused on her own career. She recently worked on musical duets were her boyfriend Zion Foster, but has since "banned" him from releasing the tunes after their relationship ended.
A source has told The Sun: "Jesy and Zion split last month and have completely cut ties with each other.". It was added that it's not the first time they have split up but the source said that friends "think it's for good this time".
"It's slightly awkward though because they had an EP ready of music they have made together and Jesy doesn't want it released now," the insider continued. Fans had already been teased one of their tracks and were hoping for more, the source said, before adding: "It's looking pretty unlikely at this point."
