Udaipur : The City of Lakes, is witnessing a continuous influx of tourists due to the monsoon season. Not only weekend tourists but also visitors from across India are flocking to this picturesque city. With a long weekend approaching from September 29th to October 3rd due to a two-day holiday, bookings in Udaipur have surged.

Most hotels are brimming with tourists, and many are even making on-the-spot bookings. The allure of the monsoon-filled lakes has been attracting tourists throughout the season. Despite Shradh, a Hindu period of mourning, the influx of tourists continues, especially during weekends.

According to the Hotel Association, tourists who plan their trips in advance usually start arriving towards the end of Shradh. The festive season of Navratri is expected to bring in a larger crowd, with the influx continuing until Christmas. Bengali and South Indian tourists are particularly frequent visitors during this time, and their bookings are already confirmed. Not only large hotels but also budget accommodations are seeing full occupancy.

With a three-day weekend coinciding with the beginning of Navratri, there is a surge in tourist arrivals. Many tourists are expected to arrive in Udaipur from the evening of September 28th, and with the added holidays of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2nd and the first day of Navratri on October 3rd, they can enjoy a five-day vacation.
