Bengaluru: After days of scorching heat, Bengaluru and several parts of Karnataka experienced heavy rainfall on Saturday, bringing much-needed relief from the summer temperatures.
In Bengaluru, areas around Yelahanka witnessed intense rainfall, leading to waterlogging on roads and causing difficulties for commuters. Hailstorms were reported in Hebbal, Mekhri Circle, and Bhoopasandra.
Devanahalli and nearby rural areas also experienced thunderstorms and heavy showers.
In Kolar city and Srinivaspura, rain lasted for more than half an hour, while parts of Belur in Hassan district saw hailstorms along with heavy rain.
The sudden showers cooled temperatures across the state, offering temporary respite from the heat.
