Two people were killed and nine others injured in a shooting at 5th Avenue Park in Conway on Sunday night, local authorities said.
The incident occurred at the city park, located about 27 miles north of Little Rock. Conway police confirmed the casualties in a Facebook post, saying that all nine injured individuals were in stable condition at area hospitals.
The park, popular for its playground, basketball courts, and splash pad, was reportedly busy when the shooting happened.
On Monday morning, a police department spokesperson declined to provide further information, including whether any suspects have been identified or what may have triggered the violence.
