Amit Shah slams Rahul Gandhi as 'machine of lies' at public rally

Union home minister Amit Shah launched a vigorous attack on Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi during a public rally on Tuesday, labeling him a “machine of lies” capable of deceiving in any language. Shah demanded that Gandhi clarify his stance on the removal of Article 370 in Kashmir, questioning whether it was a positive or negative decision.

“Rahul Gandhi is a machine of lies who can lie in any language. He should clarify whether removing Article 370 from Kashmir was a good or bad thing,” Shah said. He accused Gandhi of undermining the significance of Ayodhya’s Ram Lalla temple, which was recently consecrated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Shah further criticized Congress for its historical failure to address long-standing demands from soldiers. “For 40 years, soldiers have been demanding 'One Rank, One Pension,' but Congress never fulfilled that promise,” he said. He contrasted this with the BJP government’s actions, noting that Modi implemented the scheme within a year of coming to power and introduced the Agniveer scheme, despite Congress’s attempts to politicize it.

The home minister also praised the BJP's record in Haryana, asserting that under Modi’s leadership, significant advances had been made in procurement at minimum support price (MSP) and financial support to farmers. He highlighted that PM Modi had transferred Rs 297 crore to farmers in Bhiwani alone, in contrast to the Rs 41,000 crore received during the Congress era.

Shah’s criticism extended to the Congress-National Conference alliance in Jammu and Kashmir, alleging that their post-election agenda involved releasing terrorists and negotiating with Pakistan. He emphasized that under the BJP, no attempt to reinstate Article 370 would be tolerated.

In closing, Shah underscored Haryana’s contributions to national security and agriculture, asserting that the region’s soldiers and farmers have been pivotal in India’s achievements.

“Thousands of soldiers from Haryana have sacrificed their lives for Kashmir. They will not allow any efforts to bring terrorism back to the region,” Shah concluded.
