JAMMU: Three persons, including a woman and her 18-month-old son, were killed and as many were injured when the car they were travelling in rolled down deep into a gorge in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The accident took place as the driver lost control over the vehicle near Chamelu Morh, when the car was on its way from Malikote towards Chassana in Reasi on Friday night.
Police identified the deceased as Sandhoor Singh (23), Kulcha Devi (27) and her toddler son Neeraj, all residents of village Sisal Malikote in Chassana.
Police and locals rescued the injured and rushed them to Chassana sub-district hospital, from where they were referred to Reasi district hospital. The injured trio was later shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital in Jammu for specialised treatment, police said.
