BENGALURU: A woman, 22, and her lover, 30, allegedly killed her two sons - one aged 2 and the other 11 months - in a village in Ramanagara district as they saw the infants as a hurdle to their illicit relationship . Police arrested accused Sweety, a domestic help , and her lover, Gregory Francis, a call centre employee, on Sunday.
The two had beaten the elder child to death and strangled the younger one a week apart for disturbing them by screaming, police said. On Oct 1, Francis and Sweety visited a graveyard claiming to be married couple who wanted to bury their son died due to health issues. They returned on Oct 7 to bury another child. The graveyard guard found their behaviour suspicious, & informed people who then alerted police.
