Lewis Hamilton signs trading card deal, overjoyed fans react “massive for the F1 hobby”

Lewis Hamilton has signed a new trading card deal with Fanatics Collectibles . He inaugurated the company’s massive trading card store in London amid much fanfare this weekend. The news of him signing a new deal with Topps was announced on Monday, and his fans could not be happier to see him now actively taking part in the card hobby.

All about Lewis Hamilton’s new dealTopps shared the update on Instagram along with a picture of Lewis Hamilton’s trading card. It went with the caption: “JUST IN: We’re excited to announce that we’ve signed an exclusive trading card & memorabilia deal with Lewis Hamilton. Welcome to the family, Lewis!”

The ardent Hamilton fans were overjoyed upon hearing the news. A fan commented on the post, “MASSIVE for the F1 Hobby!! Welcome Lewis Hamilton!” Another wrote, “OH and the chase begins.” One more said, “Huge for the hobby! Welcome Lewis.”

“Man I need one,” expressed a fan. A comment also read: “Just things happening. Let’s go.” A fan even came up with a new name for the Ferrari driver: “LEWIS TOPMILTON.”

According to racingnews365.com, the new partnership also includes an exclusive autograph deal, under which Hamilton's signature and race-worn items will be part of his trading cards. At the store launch, Hamilton signed a few cards, including a Topps Chrome F1 card and a limited edition Forza Ferrari card.

Coming to his racing career, Lewis Hamilton is yet to get comfortable with Ferrari on the track. He is currently in 7th position in the F1 Driver Standings with 31 points. He had finished in the same position last year at Mercedes. His best performance so far has been a fifth-place finish at the Bahrain Grand Prix. He was in 7th position in both Japan and Saudi Arabia.

He finished tenth in his first race for Ferrari at the Australian Grand Prix and was disqualified in the following race in China. However, he did win the F1 Sprint in China and will be looking forward to the second one, lined up at the Miami Grand Prix this weekend. His teammate Charles Leclerc recently won his first podium this season at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah.
