Mumbai: The BCCI on Monday unveiled the central contracts for the Indian men's cricket team for 2024-25, effective from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.
As TOI had reported on March 27, India's marquee players—Test & ODI captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja—have retained their A+ grade contracts despite having retired from T20Is after India's T20 World Cup triumph in the West Indies last year.
Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan have also been reinstated to the central contracts list. Ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah is the only other player in the A+ category, which remains the same.

Thirty-four players have been awarded contracts for the period of October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.
Iyer (Grade B) and Kishan (Grade C) have regained their central contracts after the duo were eliminated from last year's list on the grounds that they skipped a few domestic matches.
Asked about the BCCI giving central contracts again to Iyer and Kishan, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia told TOI, "Our selectors keep a close eye on all the players. Their performances in international as well as domestic matches are monitored closely. You have seen the result of that."
Quizzed on Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja receiving A+ category contracts despite having retired from T20Is last year, Saikia said, "All the parameters were closely assessed, and they (the players) were accordingly placed in their appropriate category."
Meanwhile, young guns—allrounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, pacer Harshit Rana, aggressive left-hander Abhishek Sharma, and 'mystery spinner' Varun Chakaravarthy—who have all put on impressive performances for India in the past few months, have received their maiden BCCI central contracts and have been included in category C.
"The BCCI is endeavoring to promote the youngsters as well as the future prospects," Saikia said.
As per the BCCI pay guide, Grade A+ players receive ₹7 crore, Grade A players receive ₹5 crore, Grade B players receive ₹3 crore, and Grade C players earn ₹1 crore.
