The 2025 World Tournament of the Professional Fighters League kicked off on April 3 at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando. Headlined by the welterweight bout between Jason Jackson and Andrey Koreshkov, the event was live-streamed on ESPN and ESPN+ in the United States. The other main cards of PFL 1 featured Jesus Pinedo, Ádám Borics, Logan Storley, Joseph Luciano, Movlid Khaybulaev and Jeremy Kennedy.

One major aspect was the earnings made by the winner of each division. While the previous version awarded an amount of $1 million to each winner, this year, the winners from each division will earn $500,000. Following the format of a single-elimination bracket, the winners of each bout get to move up to the playoffs and onto the next round. The event featured 8 bouts - 4 preliminary and 4 main cards across the welterweight and featherweight divisions. The tournament in totality will feature bouts across 8 divisions - heavyweight, light heavyweight, middleweight, welterweight, lightweight, featherweight, bantamweight, and women's flyweight. The bouts featured 3 five-minute rounds and shall follow the same format for the semi-final as well. The finals will feature 5 five-minute rounds.
