Samay Raina has been making headlines since his India’s Got Latent controversy. The comedian has now made a comeback and has opened up about his work, things that went downhill for him recently since the controversy, and more. He even reunited with Apoorva Mukhija recently and raised a toast with her.

In a new podcast, Samay asked fellow podcaster Food Pharmer (Revant Himatsingka), “Do you think someone like me should avoid drinking Coke and pretend to promote only water in public?” When Food Pharmer suggested that such behavior might impact kids aged 8 to 10, Samay responded bluntly, “If children that young are watching me, then their parents have failed.”

Later, Samay revealed how his parents were very strict with the kind of content he would watch while growing up. He said, “When I was that age, my father would beat me if I watched television. I didn’t watch television then. I never got influenced by all this and I really think he did a great job as a father. So the parents are the ones who need to be responsible and not me. I have to be myself. If I want to influence people to do something, it is just to be honest.”

The comedian has been in the news for his controversy on India’s Got Latent. In the show, fellow influencers Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Mukhija’s controversial statements made headlines, after which several FIRs were filed against them.
