Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan’s marriage has been the talk of the town for decades. From Amitabh’s alleged connection with Rekha to their rock-solid bond, the Bachchans have always made headlines. Now, an old interview clip has resurfaced, where Jaya revealed that her superstar husband isn’t exactly romantic – and even rated him just 5/10 as a husband!
The Interview that got everyone talking
In an episode of ‘Rendezvous with Simi Garewal’, the 'Guddi' actress made some candid confessions about her relationship with BigB. When Simi asked, “Is he romantic?” the 'Zanjeer' actor himself quickly answered, “No.” Jaya agreed, adding, “Not with me.”
Simi then asked the 'Don' actor to rate himself as a husband. He confidently gave himself a “7.5/10.” But when Jaya was asked the same, she thought for a moment and then said, “5/10.” Her response left Big B stunned, but Jaya seemed quite sure about her rating.
When asked about Amitabh’s priorities, Jaya revealed, “According to me, Amit’s priorities are first his parents, then his children, and then me. Profession. Or maybe there’s somebody else.” She laughed while saying this, but Amitabh kept a straight face throughout the conversation.
Netizens say "Jaya was never the problem”
After the clip went viral on Instagram shared by jarp media, netizens quickly reacted on the post. One user commented, "I'm happy... I'm used to this now. Now that's just sad." Another wrote, "For his son also, priorities are the same – his family, his child, his work, then wife." A third user said, "Jaya was never the problem, he always made her feel down." Another remarked, "She (Jaya) was a smiling lady once upon a time."
Despite the ups and downs, the Bachchans remain one of Bollywood’s most powerful families. Their children have also made their mark – Shweta married Nikhil Nanda and has two children, Navya and Agastya. Abhishek married Aishwarya Rai in 2007, and they have a daughter, Aaradhya. On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in 'Kalki 2898 AD', while Jaya Bachchan appeared in 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani'.
