Nagpur: The MPCC has unveiled plans for comprehensive internal restructuring and strategic mobilisation in response to alleged targeted actions by the Modi administration.
Maharashtra Congress coordinator Ramesh Chennithala announced on Thursday that state and district executive committees will undergo reorganisation soon, alongside plans for an advanced party training programme in Mahabaleshwar in the weeks ahead. These developments followed two crucial meetings in Mumbai on Thursday — an initial session with Congress MPs at 11:30am and a subsequent gathering of senior officials at 2pm — both led by state president Harshwardhan Sapkal. The agenda centred on enhancing internal communication, developing strategic initiatives, and planning approaches to address crucial public concerns through legislative channels and grassroots activism.
"We shall focus on communication and mobilisation. The Congress party remains dedicated to highlighting the unfavourable policies of both Central and Maharashtra governments," Sapkal stated post-meetings. The scheduled Mahabaleshwar programme aims to establish direction for Congress's forthcoming public engagement in the state, incorporating both philosophical guidance & electoral preparation.
Congress leaders staged demonstrations at Dadar in Mumbai against alleged authoritarian approach of central BJP govt. Chennithala additionally criticised the state's governing Mahayuti alliance regarding unfulfilled electoral promises.
