BJP protests in Mysuru, demanding return of Pak nationals

Send Push

Mysuru: Mysuru city and district BJP units protested outside the office of the deputy commissioner in Mysuru at Siddhartha Nagar on Tuesday, demanding the state govt send Pakistani nationals back to their country.

The BJP activists shouted slogans against state govt, accusing it of negligence in sending them back. Union govt gave directions to all state govts to send Pakistani nationals back within 48 hours after the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which led to the death of 26 civilians.

Even though BJP-ruled states implemented this order effectively, non-BJP-ruled states like Karnataka are delaying the process, they claimed. The protesters also shouted slogans against Pakistan, accusing it of aiding, abetting, and sheltering terrorists. The protesters threatened to intensify their stir in the coming days across the state if the govt failed to fulfil their demands.

Krishnaraja MLA TS Srivatsa, city BJP president L Nagendra, and district BJP president LR Mahadevaswamy were present.
