Gurgaon: GMDA and MCG launched an encroachment drive against illegal vendors across key stretches in old Gurgaon. Over 75 unauthorised carts were cleared from Khandsa Road alone, while 14 were removed from Mahavir Chowk, Agrasen Chowk, and Bus Stand Road.
Despite warnings, vendors continued to occupy roads, prompting the authorities to initiate direct enforcement action.
The demolition drive began Monday night and continued through Tuesday morning. Teams from the enforcement wings of GMDA and MCG removed over 75 carts from Khandsa Road. The crackdown extended to two illegal fish markets operating in the area despite being issued prior warnings. Both markets were sealed by MCG. Authorities dismantled unauthorised ramps and structures illegally built in front of shops.
