MUMBAI: A 44-year-old woman has been arrested by the Dindoshi Police for the alleged murder of a businessman at a hotel in Malad East. The body of Imamuddin Mansuri , 47, was found at the hotel on May 4. An autopsy confirmed that he had been poisoned and strangled. Police arrested the accused, Barkat Rathod , at Surat railway station.
Mansuri was based in Mira Road. Police said he and Rathod were close but were forced to sever ties after their respective families found out. The two were also related.
Based on technical evidence, Rathod was detained. She has been booked for murder under the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita.
