Some social media users also suggested that packaged ramen have been recalled because of deadly bacteria. "These recalls are getting real," one TikTok user says in a video that has been shared more than 170,000 times.However, on checking the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recall page, we found that no recall has been issued. Where did the claims surface from?A TikTok post, shared on September 11, sparked an alarm. The user claimed that five children died after consuming instant ramer noodles. They further suggested that a recall was issued. Social media reactions:One social media user said: "There is no ramen recall guys and 5 kids did not die from eating Buldak noodles lol just another mass hysteria of misinformation ðŸ˜""Stop giving your kids Ramen noodles!!!!!!!!!!! However, it did not have to do anything with bacteria or any deaths. According to local media reports, at least three children died after eating noodles in South Africa in 2021.
