They say, “Bihar is not for beginners,” and this proved true when a 48-year-old man, a resident of Mirachak, brought a Russell's viper — a highly venomous snake — with him to the hospital after it had bitten him. Prakash Mandal was lying down in his house on Tuesday evening when the incident occurred. The reptile bit Prakash's hand, and instead of pushing it away, he grabbed the snake by its neck and took it to the hospital. His family members also accompanied him.The clip shows the man wearing a white vest with a blue cloth wrapped around his lower body (lungi), entering the hospital with the reptile coiled around his neck while he holds its mouth with his hand. He then lies down on the floor, keeping the snake with him while still holding it.Prakash's entrance triggered panic among other patients and staff members, with several running around in fear.
Prakash held the snake's mouth tightly as he lay on a stretcher to be taken inside the hospital ward, where the doctor gave him an injection after examining the snake. Meanwhile, Prakash's family placed the snake in a sack within the hospital premises.Netizens flocked to the comment section to express their opinions. Here are some of the reactions: A user wrote: "Bihar is not for beginners." Another wrote: "Lol he came with proof." A third user wrote: "Everything is possible in Bihar." A fourth user said: "People are laughing but they don't know it's very important, a doctor can cure better if he knows what type of snakes bite him".A fifth user said: 'This myth is becoming is real every passing days. People are becoming blind in beliefs and we have to do something about snake bites."The video is from Bhagalpur. After being bitten by the snake🐍 , the man brought it with him to the hospital to help identify the species.
