Elon Musk is facing a Secret Service probe for his tweets mentioning President Joe Biden and VP Kamala Harris in the aftermath of the apparent second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, Bloomberg reported on Thursday. Threatening the US president or vice president is a felony. He said it was intended as a joke. Musk is yet to react to the Bloomberg report. They are being witheld because 'disclosure could reasonably be expected to interfere with enforcement proceedings'. The agency's spokesperson Nate Herring said the Secret Service 'is aware of the social media post made by Elon Musk'. “As a matter of practice, we do not comment on matters involving protective intelligence. We can say, however, that the Secret Service investigates all threats related to our protectees."
