Bridgerton Season 4 Begins Filming. Here's Your First Look At New Leads Luke Thompson And Yerin Ha

After revealing Yerin Ha as Sophie Baek last week, Netflix has announced that Bridgerton has started filming Season 4 in London, England. They also gave fans what they've been waiting for, a joint photograph of Yerin with her co-star Luke Thompson, who will play Benedict Bridgerton. Here's all we know about their love story and who will and won't be back in Season 4.

First look at Luke Thompson and Yerin Has as Benedict and SophieThe official account of Bridgerton on Instagram wrote, "Esteemed members of the Ton, it is with great joy that we inform you that Bridgerton Season 4 is officially in production!" The post featured several pics of Luke and Yerin on the sets of Bridgerton in Shepperton Studios outside of London. The new leads were dressed in modern and cosy winterwear, a far cry from their Regency outfits.

The new co-stars have been getting to know each other during dance rehearsals and had this to say about Benedict and Sophie's love story to Netflix's Tudum. Luke stated, "What’s striking about Season 4 is that it’s the struggle between a proper old-school fairy tale — the romance of it — and the actual reality of the world. And both are true. You have to hold both of them — the romance and the reality — in your hand. In its best version, ‘true love’ happens in the middle of that.”Yerin added of the Cinderella story in Season 4, "What drew me to Sophie was that she immediately has obstacles — something that she constantly has to overcome. Watch New and returning cast membersJess Brownell will return as showrunner on Season 4. The eight-episode fourth season adds three new cast members who are a part of Sophie's troubled past. Katie Leung will play the widowed Lady Araminta Gun, while Michelle Mao and Isabella Wei will essay the roles of Araminta's daughters Rosamund Li and Posy Li respectively. Netflix also shared a list of returning cast members for Season 4. These include the Bridgerton family members with Jonathan Bailey, Ruth Gemmell, Hannah Dodd, Florence Hunt, Claudia Jessie and Will Tilston. Season 3 leads Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan are also on the list. Victor Alli, Adjoa Andoh, Lorraine Ashbourne, Masali Baduza, Daniel Francis, Martins Imhangbe, Emma Naomi, Golda Rosheuvel, Hugh Sachs, Polly Walker, and Julie Andrews, as the voice of Lady Whistledown, have been named too.
