
Urgent have been issued for numerous that could pose a fire risk. The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) urged customers to stop using the devices immediately. Officials said: "The product presents a risk of fire as it is possible for an internal short circuit to occur during normal use, causing the tumble dryer to ignite."
This issue could lead to a fire in the house if not addressed, according to the office. The OPSS confirmed the dryers do not meet the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 requirements. The OPSS urged owners to "stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer to arrange for a modification". It added: " The product should not be used until the modification has taken place. If the plug is accessible, switch off and unplug the appliance."
