The telling sign Prince Harry was 'vulnerable' during his big WellChild Awards speech

A key interaction between an audience member and Prince Harry at the WellChild Awards tonight could show the Duke of Sussexes "vulnerability" in the situation, a body language expert has told The Express.

Speaking on Prince Harry's speech, Judi James said: " This is always an emotional event for Harry, especially as it marks a rare return to the UK. His speech shows body language rituals of a humble approach, with his shoulders and head lowered at the start as his hands hold onto the lectern, and passion part way through as he voices his respect for the parents and their children, pushing his clasped hands in towards his lower ribs in a juddering ritual.

"Harry's gestures are all about respect for this audience and he steps back from the lectern to clasp his hands together when he speaks about 'You little legends'. He adds to the vibe of respect by turning the gesture into praying hands used as an emphatic baton. He also speaks about his own 'rollercoaster of parenting, but the most poignant moment for him comes when he tells the children 'We've got you' and someone in the audience shouts back 'We've got you too'.

"Harry pauses, but only for a brief moment at this. His grin makes his cheeks round but his face seems to drop slightly as the audience applauds and he seems to be keen to move on quickly, suggesting possible vulnerability and perhaps a worry he could lose his composure again if he stopped too long to consider the sentiment."
