's wife has revealed that she's caught their children "bragging" about who their dad is.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion has two kids with his wife Jelena - Stefan, 10 and Tara, seven.

Jelena also explained how the family made sacrifices for Djokovic to continue playing well into his late 30s as she addressed his future.

Djokovic and Jelena have been together for 20 years and now have two children. As they've gotten older, Stefan and Tara have been spotted in their father's player box, and Stefan has even become a keen young tennis player himself.

The Djokovic kids were in the stands to witness their dad's Olympic gold medal triumph earlier this summer. And the world No. 4 has shared plenty of special moments with them after lifting Grand Slam trophies.

However, according to Jelena, they still aren't fully aware of Djokovic's impact. But that hasn't stopped them from playfully bragging about who their dad is.

"They are very young, so they don't understand a lot of important things that he represents for people," Djokovic's wife told .

"But they do understand that he is a hard worker and he is very respected. Because they see him when they travel and there are a lot of fans and they see the attention he gets. So they understand it."

The CEO of the Novak Djokovic Foundation has also overheard them making some interesting comments. She added: "And I can hear them saying, 'You know who my dad is.'

"It's kind of childish bragging, but the other meaning they are learning through the work of the foundation. Because this is what Novak wants as well, for his legacy to be to change the world for children. Because he once had a dream as a child and he achieved it."

While Stefan and Tara have enjoyed watching their father compete, Djokovic has started to take a step back from the tour by playing an increasingly limited schedule.

He already appears to have and leaving his ATP Finals qualification hopes in serious doubt.

Earlier this year, he showed that he wanted to prioritise his home life when he pulled out of the Miami Open, claiming he wanted to "balance his private and professional schedule". But the world No. 4's wife has now admitted that she's happy staying home with the kids so he can continue his career.

"I'm travelling less now. I'm travelling less because of the kids. There are so many tournaments and yet his career is still going on," she explained.

"He's now choosing the right places to go. It's not my business. He'll do what he wants for as long as he wants. I support him. And the kids love what he does and are very proud of him. In fact, if we can help him stay longer, we will."
