Nicolas Jackson's transfer to Bayern Munich is back on track, despite concerns that the out-of-favour Chelsea striker would be forced to return to Stamford Bridge. Jackson has been sidelined by Blues manager Enzo Maresca following the signings of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, which have seen him fall down the pecking order.
The Senegalese international flew to Germany this week after Chelsea agreed a deal with Bayern worth approximately £13million for a season-long loan, with an option to buy for £56.3m next summer. However, when Delap sustained an injury in the 2-0 victory over Fulham and was ruled out for up to eight weeks, Chelsea halted Jackson's move, instructing him to come back.
Jackson, however, chose to stay in Munich until the end of the deadline, hoping for a resolution to the situation.
Now, according to Sky in Germany, Jackson's persistence has paid off as the move is back on.
Chelsea are facing a significant problem in attack after also selling Christopher Nkunku to AC Milan, leaving Pedro as their only recognised forward - prompting Chelsea to order Jackson to return to London.
Jackson was reportedly "furious" about the potential collapse of his move after travelling all the way to Germany and made it clear he had no intention of returning. Agent and former Fulham star Diomansy Kamara posted on social media saying: "The plane doesn't go backwards... Munich."

Following Chelsea's decision to recall Marc Guiu from his loan spell at Sunderland, the Blues now are open to allowing Jackson to join Bayern Munich, who could potentially make a permanent offer instead of a loan deal.
The report indicates that Jackson's other agent, Ali Barat, played a crucial role in reviving discussions after meeting with Bayern officials on Sunday.
Chelsea have been active in the transfer window, spending approximately £280m on new signings, while generating around £270m from player sales.
The Blues have already transferred Noni Madueke to Arsenal, whilst Joao Felix has moved to Al-Nassr and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has signed for Everton.
