Escape to the Country buyer 'speechless' as house leaves her walking off in tears

An viewer was left in tears and said she was utterly "speechless" after setting eyes on a mystery property. The emotional scene unfolded on a previous episode of the beloved show. During her search for a tranquil Dorset home, a stark contrast to her bustling London life, one mum-of-two couldn't contain her emotions when presented with a hidden gem in Marshwood by host Nicki Chapman.

Hemi, who works as a train engineer, was captivated by an 18th-century converted chapel featured on the programme. Overwhelmed by its charm, she exclaimed, "[I] absolutely loved it. Just a beautiful property," as tears welled up. With a generous budget of £800k, Hemi was astounded to discover the asking price was a mere £650,000. "I don't believe it, I just don't. I'm speechless," she uttered, overcome with emotion. She was then forced to walk away from Nicki as she tried to contain her emotions on camera.

She continued, expressing her gratitude: "It's unbelievable, I mean the angels have really, they've looked after us haven't they", reports Birmingham Live.

The property sits on the edge of Marshwood village, not far from Bridport and within the catchment area of a highly-regarded grammar school. Boasting breathtaking views, the home is a stone's throw from a church.

This remarkable stone and flint chapel, a Grade II listed building erected in 1740 and transformed into a dwelling in 1932, includes an annex with two bedrooms. It features a spacious lawn and a secluded terrace, enclosed by a stone wall.

She continued to share her thoughts on the property: "It's got loads of potential, I think. It's the right size for me. Sophie's got her own space.

"As a mum having and having a 21-year old daughter - I don't want to cry - but it's given me the possibility if she chooses not to come with us at least I can buy her something in London or give her a deposit. That is just a huge weight off my mind."
