It's about to be another bumpy ride for some of the residents in Emmerdale this week as things are about to become awkwardly tense in the Yorkshire Dales. At the beginning of the year, ITV bosses aired a special episode of Emmerdale detailed what happened to April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) after she went missing. The flashback episode depicted April's life on the streets, where she formed a close bond with homeless teen Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle).
He made his return to the village a few weeks ago and their friendship quickly blossomed into something more romantic. Now, Emmerdale spoilers reveal emotions are running high in the Dingle household as April gears up for her 16th birthday.

Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) is left playing second fiddle to Dylan during the big birthday bash, but the young teen only has one thing on her mind.
Determined to become a woman for the first time, she pulls boyfriend Dylan upstairs for the first time. While the pair get down to business, the village bad boy misses a call from Ray Mullan (Joe Absolom).
It doesn't take long before their loved-up bubble is burst when Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) catches them post-coital. The hairdresser wastes no time in informing Marlon who is dismayed, but his wife Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) reminds him that April can make her own choices.
Mandy is shocked to see that Rhona's wise words have hit home with Marlon as he pretends to be 'normal' with April. It's at this point that the bustling hairdresser confronts April and reveals that she told Marlon what she saw on her birthday, leaving April horrified.
Meanwhile, Dylan faces a new complication as Ray requests his help with a new job that he definitely doesn't want April to know about. It doesn't take long before she finds out, and is devastated to hear he is mixed up with Ray again.
After a lengthy discussion, April finally concedes and gives Dylan permission to work with the dodgy dealer on the side. It's at this point her beau throws her a curveball when he reveals that Ray's plan is actually for her to do the job.
Feeling scared and torn, Aoril is manipulated by Ray into agreeing to do the drug drop, making Dylan promise to stop working for Ray in return. Meanwhile, Marlon - persuaded by Mandy to trust April's decisions - decides to accept her relationship with Dylan, completely oblivious to the dangerous situation she's in.
As April hugs her dad, she guiltily eyes the rucksack full of drugs that she brought home. But will April go through with the plan? Emmerdale fans will have to stay tuned to find out.
Emmerdale airs on weekdays from 7.30pm on ITV1 or catch up on ITVX.
