In upcoming scenes, evil John Sugden (played by Oliver Farnworth) is quizzed by the police about the day of Nate Robinson's (Jurell Carter) disappearance as he denies any involvement. When the lengthy interview is finally over, John hopes he has said enough to protect ().
Sam Dingle (James Hooton) cannot resist berating her for her accusations on the soap. A rattled Cain then voices his suspicions that Tracy is responsible for his son Nate's untimely death.
Venting in fury after Cain's accusation, Tracy desperately tries to defend herself and prove her innocence to anyone willing to listen.

The following morning, officers arrive at Tug Ghyll with a search warrant, but Tracy remains adamant it is pointless. However, she's left gobsmacked when police reveal Nate's phone was found in her child's playhouse.
Tracy struggles to control her fear as the officers lead her out to question her at the station. She's soon baffled when she is told there is no record of the removal man who supposedly took Nate's belongings to Shetland.
When she's out of police custody, she sees Cain and makes it crystal clear she still suspects him of Nate's murder.

The following day, - and Tracy tells them she was with Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) the entire day.
Tracy later leaves her sister on edge when she asks her to corroborate her false alibi.
When the police visit Vanessa, she's left looking like a rabbit in headlights when she's asked to corroborate Tracy's alibi in an official statement. Will she betray her sister to avoid getting in trouble with the law?
