Dunelm 'good value for money' rug adds luxury to homes from just £29

Dunelm shoppers say a £49 rug can inject a touch of "luxury" into rooms without breaking the bank. The vintage pattern rug comes in two shades, and in addition to the £49 option (which measures 120 x 170cm), it comes in a selection of other sizes, the cheapest of which starts from £29.

The rug has detailed Persian-inspired patterns and comes in both a vintage red and a more neutral colourway.

The smallest rug, measuring 80 x 150cm, is £29. There is also a 160 x 230cm rug for £89, and the largest rug, measuring 200 x 290cm, costs £129.

Despite its affordable price, shoppers have said it looks good and is well-made. One review said: "Beautiful rug, lovely muted colours in the cream version.

"Very thick and soft underfoot. Very good value for money."

Another customer review said: "Good quality rug at a reasonable price...should last a while. Soft underfoot and cosy for the colder weather."

Other shoppers said they had used the rug in rooms beyond their lounge. One person said: "Beautiful quality rug, adds beauty, warmth and luxury to our dining kitchen."

However, another said they "didn't like it at all" once it arrived. Despite this, on the Dunelm website, the Sandford Vintage Patterned Rug has a 4.8 out of five-star customer satisfaction rating, reports Birmingham Live.

For something even cheaper, IKEA has the TIPHEDE Flatwoven Rug for a mere £10. Despite its low price, the rug is relatively highly rated, with a 4-star customer satisfaction rating. It is also a versatile option, made from a strong woven fabric and in a neutral colour.

Or, for an alternative option, Argos has the Homemaker Bukhura Traditional Pile Rug for £35. The rug is a deep shade of red and, like the Dunelm rug, has a similarly Persian-inspired pattern.
