Chris McCausland left It Takes Two host Janette Manrara gobsmacked with his remarks following 's cheeky 'dig'.
After her departure on Sunday night, Toyah was interviewed by Fleur East. When probed for advice for fellow celebs, she quipped: "If you don't want to do a dance-off, get rid of Chris!"
The comment prompted an awkward exchange between Neil and Fleur before Toyah chuckled and added: "You're all going to have to face a dance off." Neil then clarified her humour, saying: "I think she has chosen her winner already."
On Thursday, October 10, Chris and Dianne appeared with Janette in the It Takes Two studio, where Janette eagerly addressed Toyah's statement, reports .
Janette queried: "I wanted to clear up some confusion because on Monday, Toyah said you were the one to beat but some people misunderstood what she said. I just want to check you and Toyah are all good right?"
Chris' reply took Janette aback - not because of any animosity, but because he admitted to not watching It Takes Two. He explained: "We're all good! I had to be told about it because I didn't watch. I think the last thing I need is more Strictly stuff."
He continued to praise Toyah, saying, "She's been nothing but lovely. She genuinely said to me when she went out and we all cuddled on the dance floor. She's lovely. Her intention is gorgeous. She's insane for thinking that, let's not let her off with that. It's madness."
Earlier in the week, Chris had taken to social media to defend Toyah from the backlash over her comment.
The star took to Twitter to respond, saying: "All I can say is that @toyahofficial has been nothing but beautiful and supportive and what she said on Takes Two was funny and an incredible bloody compliment. It's been such a joy and a privilege Toya. Lots of love, enjoy the surfing! X"
