For many homes across the UK, are a staple which most people enjoy without doing much to it. For those who like to add a bit , there are many ingredients that you can add the dish to make it a bit more exciting, but there is one in particular that is so simple yet goes a long way.
While some people might like to stick to what they know which is okay, especially as you can't go wrong with some baked beans regardless of when you have it. However, it is fun to sometimes try something new. So next time you plan to have some baked beans, forget about just adding some salt and pepper, but instead throw in a bit of too.
A user put out the question asking if "most British people season their baked beans," the discussion sparked over 3000 comments of Brits sharing their secret ingredients that spice up the kitchen staple.
The user added: "According to my boyfriend you're only supposed to take them out the tin into a bowl and microwave them, or to put them in a pot on the stove for like 3 minutes. The only allowed flavour is the tomato sauce they come with."
Paprika was mentioned numberous of times by Reddit users who swore by the spice. One person said: "Try a bit of smoke paprika on baked beans. You're welcome."
Another added: "Came here to say this. Yes paprika is my secret ingredient too."
And the multiple paprika references certainly convinced people as one person wrote: "I've never thought to try paprika in my beans! I have some smoke paprika I've yet to open - I will give it a try!"

In fact next time you prepare breakfast, it seems that paprika will be the key ingredient, with one user sharing that they use it on their eggs too.
