Nissan has recently taken a big step and announced to lay off 9,000 of its employees. The Japanese automaker has taken this decision due to its financial situation. According to reports, this move may reduce Nissan's global production by 20%. Apart from this, Nissan has also reduced its sales forecast for the upcoming financial year 2024-25.
Tough times for Nissan
Nissan's CEO said that the company's net profit in the North American market has fallen by 93% in the first six months of this year. Due to this loss, the company has also reduced its net sales forecast. Now Nissan plans to achieve net sales of 12.7 trillion yen (about 80 billion dollars), which is less than the previously estimated 14 trillion yen. The company says that it is currently going through a critical situation and is trying to quickly adopt the changes taking place in the market.
Nissan Magnite facelift launched
Nissan has launched its Magnite facelift in India. This car comes with a modern and dynamic design. A new Sunrise Copper Orange color has been added to this car. Apart from this, a total of 13 color options have been given in this car, so that customers will have more options to choose from. Nissan has also installed a cluster ionizer in this facelift model, which purifies the air inside the car.
Magnite Facelift Features and Price
There has been no change in the powertrain of the Nissan Magnite facelift. This car has a 1.0-liter turbo engine, which gives a mileage of 20 kmpl with manual transmission. At the same time, with CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), this car claims to give a mileage of 17.4 kmpl.
Talking about the price of this vehicle, Nissan has not increased the price of Magnite Facelift. Its ex-showroom price starts at Rs 5.99 lakh, which makes it an affordable and popular SUV in the Indian market. Nissan's situation is currently challenging, but it has tried to strengthen its presence in the Indian market through its new Magnite Facelift. Despite the layoffs of employees and reduction in sales forecast, the company hopes that these changes will help it adapt quickly to the market. Also, considering the price and powertrain of Magnite Facelift, it can become an attractive option for Indian customers.
