What was revealed in the two reports

To know the reason behind these deaths, ICMR and NCDC (National Center for Disease Control) conducted two separate researches. One study was done on the basis of old data and the second study is going on in real time. Let us know what is there in the first and second reports?

First study: ICMR report

ICMR's National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE) conducted this study between May and August 2023. In this, data was taken from 47 big hospitals in 19 states and union territories. It included people aged 18 to 45 years, who earlier looked completely healthy, but died suddenly between October 2021 and March 2023. The result of this research is clear that taking the Kovid-19 vaccine does not increase the risk of sudden death.

Second study: AIIMS report

AIIMS Delhi is conducting another study which is still going on. In this, it is being seen what is the real reason behind the sudden death of young people. The initial reports so far show that heart attack is the most common reason for such deaths. Apart from this, genetic reasons and chronic diseases are also becoming the reason in many cases. It has also been observed in the research that there has been no major change in the causes of sudden deaths in the last few years.

What has come out?

No scientific or medical link has been found between sudden death and the Covid vaccine. In most cases of death, the causes are lifestyle (diet, stress, alcohol-cigarettes), genetic reasons and pre-existing diseases. The Covid vaccine is completely safe and has saved lives.

Scientists and the government have said that questioning the vaccine without any evidence can be dangerous. This can spread fear among people and they may hesitate to take the vaccine, which is not good for the health of the country.
