Floribama Shore star Kirk Medas shared his one regret in life, just weeks before his unexpected death from necrotising pancreatitis.
The 33-year-old was an original cast member of the rowdy MTV reality show, which ran for four series, and follows a group of eight 20-somethings living it up on the 'pan handle' coast which runs between Florida and Alabama.
For the two weeks leading up to his death, Medas was in an intensive care unit at a Miami hospital, with his family telling that he was in a coma and unable to breathe for himself. .
Eight weeks ago Medas appeared to be in good health, and posted a video of himself working out in the gym. He also posted a poignant caption reflecting on his life, and how he regretted not getting sober sooner.
He wrote: "Lost a lot the past year but stayed resilient through it all. Mind, body, spirit. Changing my lifestyle completely was the start.

"Putting down the bottle and picking up the Bible was the best thing I ever done.
"My only regret is not making such changes earlier on in life. Still far from perfect but my mind is so much more clear. This is the loneliness men should go through. Me vs me."
Medas appeared in 25 episodes of Floribama Shore between 2017 and 2020, and was popular with viewers and his co-stars.
One told fans after visiting him in the ICU: "Watching someone you love go through something so painful and uncertain is heartbreaking, but your messages, prayers, and kind words have truly lifted us in this dark time.
"His mama is so grateful for every single one of you..and i know Kirk will be too. Please keep praying for him…he’s strong, and we’re believing in healing, recovery, and a miracle. One day at a time."
Kirk rose to fame back in 2017 after appearing in Floribama Shore alongside Aimee, Nilsa Prowant, Gus Smyrnios, Jeremiah Buoni, Candace Rice, Codi Butts and Kortni Gilson.

Before his death, Kirk's family and friends joined forced to raise money for his hospital care. Nilsa wrote on : "Thank you all so much for the overwhelming love, prayers, donations, messages, and support for Kirk. He’s been in the ICU on a ventilator for two weeks now, fighting necrotizing pancreatitis and ."
In 2020 Medas was arrested in Georgia for drunk and disorderly behaviour. reported that as he was cuffed he shouted at police: "I'm on a TV show by the way."
