As speculation continues to swirl that Lauren Goodger has reunited with her ex Charles Drury, a source says that the TOWIE star is also desperately hoping to have another baby with him.
Lauren and Charles, who split almost three years ago, are already parents to Larose, who turns four in July, and had a second daughter, Lorena, in 2022, who tragically passed away shortly after birth.
Amid the heartache of losing a child, Lauren’s relationship with Charles has arguably been a jaded one, with the latter previously charged with assault and controlling behaviour towards Lauren, 38.

The charges, denied by Charles, were later dropped, and the exes have been focusing on co-parenting their daughter over the last few years.
However, with Charles and Lauren spending more time together recently and even reportedly heading out on a double date a few weeks ago, our source claims the reality star’s friends are worried where things might be heading.
“Their relationship didn’t end well, but of course, because of Larose, they’ll always be part of each other’s lives. Lauren knows that Larose needs a father figure and she wants her to have that,” they claim.
“When Charles became single again, it did make Lauren think they could be together as a family again. She absolutely loves being a mum, and idolises Larose, so she’d love to have another baby. And because Charles is Lorena and Larose’s dad, it makes sense to Lauren that he’d be the dad to the baby she really desperately wants.
“But their relationship is complex and a lot has happened, especially the awful tragedy with Lorena, which was just unimaginably horrible. But the people who really care for her, and don’t just always agree with her, don’t think he’s the right person for her, and especially not someone she should have another baby with.”
Lauren and Charles first started dating in 2020 and welcomed Larose a year later, with Lauren falling pregnant again just weeks after giving birth. Tragically, Lauren and Charles’ second daughter Lorena passed away shortly after her birth, due to her umbilical cord being wrapped around her neck.
At the time, Lauren announced the news on with a harrowing post, sharing, “She was the most beautiful healthy baby I’ve ever seen just like her sister… words can’t describe as a mother losing your baby that I carried for all these months perfectly and gave birth to for my angel to be taken from me.
“There was no or labour complications and she was fine & healthy but I am not going into detail right now just know that there was nothing wrong with her or myself she was perfect I can’t understand it she is so so beautiful Larose twin so similar.. I am broken. I am back home from hospital Me & Charlie spent as much time with our baby girl Lorena and I haven’t said my goodbye yet…”
Just weeks after Lorena’s tragic death, Charles was charged with assaulting Lauren on the day of their baby’s funeral. Charles pleaded not guilty before the case was dropped in February 2024, with Lauren withdrawing her complaints.
Despite their seemingly bitter split, Lauren hasn’t ruled out getting back together with her ex in the past, and rumours of a reconciliation have swirled multiple times over the past two years. Back in 2023, Lauren admitted that she would “never say never” to reuniting.

“I don’t know what the future holds. I’ll always love him. You’ve got to understand what I’ve been through – there’s that trauma – so it’s hard to break away from someone. It’s so hard because it’s so wrapped around what happened. I want to get over it and heal, and I look at him as healing things,” she said.
Last year, Lauren said she and Charles were dedicated to co-parenting Larose. But admitting it’s not been a smooth ride, she said at the time, “It has not been easy, but we’re at a place at the minute where it is running smoothly. Charles sees Larose very regularly.”
However, Charles appears to have been spending more time near Lauren’s home of Essex as he enjoyed dinner out with her, their daughter, and her TOWIE co-stars Junaid Ahmed and Joe Blackman recently. The former couple later took part in a TikTok live stream, sparking more speculation that they might be giving things another go.
As Lauren and Charles grow closer, our source claims that Lauren’s nearest and dearest are worried he may not be the right man for her. “They’re worried that he’s just not good for her, and everything that’s happened makes it too complicated. They’d rather she moved on and found someone who’ll make her happy and treat her the way she wants to be treated.”
