If you're having a traditional wedding, it's widely accepted that the bride will be wearing white – and everyone else isn't allowed to wear anything that remotely resembles a weddingdress. That's why one woman, Chloe Cotterel, was left baffled when her bridesmaid admitted that she'd be wearinga banned item at her wedding, and she didn't know how to react.
Chloe explained that she had 10 bridesmaids at her wedding and was going to "treat" each one of them to the dress they wanted with "no budget." She then explained that the bridesmaid who was causing her issues, she'd known since she "was about three years old".
Chloe explained that the woman knows exactly what she does and doesn't want from her wedding, and that's why she was so alarmed at her admission. She seethed: "I really didn't think she was the one I would complain about."

The bride-to-be paid "hundreds of pounds to rent out this bridal shop" and was helping the bridesmaids to choose their favourite dresses.
Chloe said: "The only thing the girls had to adhere to was the colour scheme. Within this colour scheme, there were literally six shades of pink they could choose. It wasn't a one-shade-and-done. They had options".
For ease, Chloe said that she'd refer to her pal as Natalie, sharing that Natalie "pulled the dress assistant to the side". Awkwardly, Chloe didn't know what was being said until the dress assistant spilled the beans.
The bride recalled: "This woman literally asked if she could try on a white gown, and like, she is not engaged, so it's not like she's trying to get a vibe - she's painfully single and enjoys it.
"And if it's a joke, I just kinda don't find it funny. I said to her, 'What are you playing at, why are you asking to try on a white bridesmaid dress?' It's just strange".
But the reason she wanted to be in white left Chloe floored. Natalie said she thought it would be "really cool" if she could be the bridesmaid in a white dress "compared to the other bridesmaids".
Chloe said she was left "speechless" because "she's not the Maid of Honour" or a "head bridesmaid".
She said that she didn't know how to handle the situation, saying it was really "strange," and she didn't want her to "actually show up in a white dress".
In the comments, someone wrote: "She either wears pink or you have nine bridesmaids".
Another said: "Try to tell her she can wear any bridesmaid dress that is in the colour scheme or she won't come because it's your big day. Yes, they are invited, but she isn't getting married. The whole day is about two families coming together."
A TikTok user penned: "I’d tell her no as you're in white and if she can’t accept it then she can’t be involved and she may be an ordinary guest like everyone else and if she shows up in white on the day she ain’t allowed in".
