Amazon shoppers hail 'bargain' £25 hair straighteners as 'better than ghd'

Amazon shoppers have found some budget-friendly hair straighteners that one person compared to a much pricier brand. The Lily England Professional Hair Straighteners have been cut by 15% from £30 to just over £25 and boast over 4,000 reviews.

The straighteners feature an adjustable temperature range of 100-230℃, plus a rapid heat up time with ceramic plates to help give locks a smooth and sleek finish. They've also been designed to work for curling locks and are suitable for all hair types including thick and thin and long or short.

One shopper said: "I needed to get new hair straighteners and since l have the use of these at work l knew they are good. Very happy with them - immediately hot so no waiting."

Another option is the BaByliss Platinum Diamond 235 Straightener which has been slashed to half price at LookFantastic, cut from £110 to £55. One reviewer said: "Perfect straightener for my hair, glides through nicely and heats up quick for fast styling. I have a lovely shine, great result for a great price."

An under-£20 option is the Remington Shea Soft Hair Straightenerwhich is available from Amazon for £19. One shopper said: "These are so good for the price, took half the time it usually takes to straighten my hair. Left it looking smooth and shiny."

If you've got your eye on the Lily England Professional Hair Straighteners then it's worth noting that one shopper said: "These look good, and they work fine but there is a little button in the middle that is used to lock them closed, this gets caught in the hair during usage. I find the heating plates too short, they would be much better if the plates were longer."

Others were pleased with their purchase writing: "Excellent quality and heating up very well. Even better does the job without paying over the odds so very good value for money. Stylish straighteners too, I love them."
