Suspicious death of UPSC student creates stir in Delhi

Himmat Singh Gurjar wrote about this tragic incident on the social media platform 'X', "The body of 21-year-old Deepak Kumar Meena was found in the bushes in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi after 10 days under suspicious circumstances, which is extremely sad. Deepak's family is suspicious about this death and they are considering it a murder. I demand from the administration to investigate this matter thoroughly and take strict action against the culprits." Singh called this incident unfortunate and called it the untimely death of a promising student.

Family members expressed suspicion of murder

NSUI state president Vinod Jakhar also reacted in a similar manner and wrote on 'X', "Deepak's suspicious death is extremely sad. It is unfortunate that a promising student died like this and the administration should seriously investigate this matter. Justice should be done to Deepak's family and the culprits should be punished." He said that such incidents have a deep impact on the lives of students and the administration should ensure that such incidents do not happen again.

Demand for justice arose on social media

Deepak Meena was missing for the last ten days, and his family as well as the police were searching for him at possible hideouts. His body was found in the bushes near the library where he was studying. Immediately after the body was found, the police called the forensic team and the postmortem was done. The police is currently investigating the case, keeping in mind the angles of suicide and murder. According to police sources, no suicide note has been found from Deepak, but his room and the crime scene have been thoroughly searched.

Investigation is being done on both suicide and murder angles

Deepak Meena was a resident of Mahua village in Dausa district of Rajasthan. His family background is that of a farmer. His family consists of father Chandulal Meena, two elder brothers Rakesh and Daulat, and two sisters. Deepak's father told the media that Deepak had cleared the UPSC prelims this year through an online course while living in Jaipur. After clearing the prelims, Deepak was called to Delhi to prepare for the mains. The father, saddened by his son's death, also said that he has doubts over Deepak's death and wants justice.
