Send Push

1. Bold Adventure Styling
The Xoom 160 flaunts a striking adventure-inspired silhouette. With an aggressive front apron, split LED headlamps, a tall windscreen, sharp muscular body panels, and a central spine running across the floorboard, it's a standout in Hero's two-wheeler lineup.
Available in four vibrant shades—Matte Rainforest Green, Canyon Red, Pearl Summit White, and Volcanic Grey—it’s visually designed to appeal to youthful, adventurous riders.

2. Powertrain & Performance
Under the hood, the Xoom 160 packs a 156cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, tuned to deliver approximately 14 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 13.7–14 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, paired with a smooth and efficient CVT transmission.

It's notable for being Hero's first maxi-scooter, backed by advanced tech like the i3S silent start–stop system for added fuel efficiency.

3. Feature-Rich & Tech-Loaded
● Digital cockpit: Features a Bluetooth-enabled LCD/TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation, notifications (calls/SMS), and essential metrics like speed, trip info, and fuel range.

● Convenience features: Smart key system with keyless ignition and remote seat opening, along with USB charging port in the front apron.

● Lighting & safety: Dual-chamber LED headlamps and LED tail lamps, single-channel ABS, and a 14-inch alloy wheel setup with large block-pattern tyres for better grip.

4. Chassis, Comfort & Handling
Built on a robust underbone chassis, the Xoom 160 rides on telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers, offering a confident ride feel that mimics that of a motorcycle on Indian roads.
Its 14-inch wheels fitted with dual-purpose block-pattern tyres offer stability, while the weight of around 141–142 kg strikes balance between agility and composure.

5. Practicality & Fuel Efficiency
A claim of around 40 kmpl mileage, with real-world users confirming a similar range, makes it highly practical for daily commuters. The 7-litre fuel tank adds to its usability for longer rides.
Under-seat storage is generous too—estimated at 25–30 liters, easily accommodating a full-face helmet along with other essentials.

6. Price & Market Positioning
Launched at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, the Xoom 160 is priced at around ₹1.48–1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
It marks Hero's strategic entry into the premium maxi-scooter space, taking aim at long-standing competitors such as the Yamaha Aerox 155, while offering rival-level features and slightly better pricing.

7. Launch & Delivery Timeline
Unveiled at EICMA 2023, the Xoom 160 was showcased in India at Hero World 2024 and officially launched at Auto/Bharat Mobility Expos in early 2025. Bookings began in February 2025, with deliveries kicked off around March. Some regions experienced a slight delay, with widespread deliveries slated for September 2025.

Conclusion: A Trailblazing Contender in the Maxi-Scooter Realm
The Hero Xoom 160 redefines expectations for Indian scooters. It's not just more powerful—it’s smarter, tech-packed, and styled with an adventurous flair.
From advanced features like Bluetooth navigation and smart key ignition, to practical storage and confident handling dynamics, it blends the thrill of a motorbike with the comfort of a scooter.
Priced competitively, the Xoom 160 is well-positioned to disrupt the segment—and it's not just a scooter, it's India’s first true maxi-scooter.
