Western Railway solemnly observed the 134th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at its Headquarters in Churchgate, Mumbai.
The commemorative event was held under the esteemed leadership of Ashok Kumar Misra, General Manager of Western Railway, who presided over the ceremony.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Principal Heads of Departments, representatives of recognized Trade Unions, members of SC/ST and OBC Associations, as well as railway staff. All Divisions and units of Western Railway also celebrated the day.
To mark the tribute, General Manager Misra offered floral respects and lit the memorial candle to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. In his address, Misra paid profound homage to the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, acknowledging his unparalleled contributions to its framing.
He further reflected upon Dr. Ambedkar’s pivotal role in the upliftment of marginalized communities and his enduring legacy in the advancement of Indian society and nation-building.
