Mumbai: Mumbai woke up to scattered showers and cloudy skies on Wednesday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted light to moderate rainfall for the city today, with no weather alerts issued for the rest of the week. While isolated spells of intense rain may occur today, the overall trend suggests a drop in rain intensity, marking a shift in the city's weather pattern.
Today's Weather Forecast For City
According to IMD’s forecast, Mumbai is expected to record maximum temperatures around 31°C and minimum temperatures near 25°C. Humidity levels remain high, likely to exceed 80 per cent, contributing to a warm and slightly uncomfortable atmosphere. Citizens are advised to keep umbrellas handy as patchy showers are expected throughout the day. The past few days of rainfall had brought relief from the humid heat, but as skies begin to clear, the familiar muggy conditions are returning.

Akashwani Mumbai has also reported that light to moderate rain is likely across most parts of Konkan, including Mumbai, and Vidarbha. However, the intensity is far lower compared to last week, when multiple areas in Mumbai and Pune saw severe waterlogging, long traffic jams and submerged roads due to relentless rain.
5-Day Weather Forecast For City
Forecasts for the next few days show a stable pattern. From July 31 to August 4, the city will experience generally cloudy skies with occasional moderate rain. Importantly, no red or orange alerts have been issued by the IMD for Mumbai during this period, suggesting a temporary break from severe weather.
