Omkareshwar (Madhya Pradesh): Recent changes implemented by district administration to manage a large number of devotees and ensure necessary facilities at Omkareshwar temple have improved the experience for devotees visiting the sacred site.

Previously chaotic areas, such as the Jhula Pul T Point, now see enhanced crowd control.

The exit hall, Nandi Hall, and Kamani Gate CDO areas, once overwhelmed with crowds, are now more organised thanks to the new railings from Badh Chowk to Kamani Gate.

Additionally, the introduction of online special darshan slot booking has quadrupled temple income and helped curb the fraud when offline ticket system was in use.

A previously underutilised five-storey ramp, constructed for Rs 40 crores, is now operational, allowing over 10,000 passengers to complete their darshan in just one hour, compared to the previous wait of four to six hours. Additionally, temple management has banned entry from the exit gate, and this has further facilitated quick darshan for common devotees.
