Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Independence Day will be celebrated with full dignity and gaiety in the district on Friday. The main programme of Independence Day will be held at RAPTC ground Mahesh Guard Line from 9 am.
Collector Asheesh Singh will hoist the national flag and take the salute of the parade. All preparations for the ceremony have been completed.
There will also be colorful presentations of cultural programmes during the ceremony. For the first time, the message of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will also be shown live from Bhopal. For this, a sufficient number of huge LEDs have been installed at the venue.
A total of 17 squads from various armed forces will be taking part in the parade. These will mainly include Border Security Force (BSF), RAPTC, First Corps, 15th Corps, District Police Force (Men), District Police Force (Women), Home Guard, Traffic Police, Scout & Guide, Red Cross, RI Group, SPC, Srijan Dal, Shaurya Dal. The parade will be led by Deputy Superintendent of Police RAPTC Neeti Dandotiya. She will be followed by 2IC Subedar Sonali Vaskale.
Freedom Fighters Long Gone, Their Single, Dependent Daughters Struggle To SurviveThe band of First Corps and BSF will also be the center of attraction in the ceremony. During the programme, students of Garima Vidya Mandir, Government Excellance Bal Vinay Mandir, Government Sandipani Ahilya Ashram Girls Higher Secondary School No. 1 and Umiya Patidar Girls School will present cultural programmes based on patriotism and folk songs. In the ceremony, officers and employees who have done excellent work throughout the year will also be awarded. Freedom fighters and democracy fighters will also be honoured in the programme.
Flag hosting at Collector office
Collector Asheesh Singh will also hoist the flag at Collector office at 8 am on the occasion of Independence Day. Before this, he will also hoist the flag at his bungalow.
