To mark the 134th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the Panvel Municipal Corporation is organizing a grand procession on Monday, April 14, 2025.
The procession will begin at 7:30 AM with a floral tribute and traditional prayers at Dr. Ambedkar’s statue in Panvel. From there, the procession will make its way through Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, pass the MTNL office, continue toward Sant Jagnade Maharaj Chowk, and proceed through Rohidas Wada and Tapal Naka. It will then move through Karnala Circle, the Vegetable Market area, and Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Chowk, before heading past Virupaksha Temple, Line Ali, and Gune Hospital. The event will conclude at the Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan.
The route includes several key landmarks of Panvel and is expected to be filled with vibrant cultural displays and enthusiastic participation from citizens, community groups, and various organizations.
The municipal body has also called for public cooperation to ensure smooth conduct of the event and to pay a fitting tribute to the legacy of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
