Kolkata Knight Riders' performance has not been good this season. Last time's champion team also lost to Lucknow Supergiants at their home. This team got a target of 239 runs and lost by just 4 runs. After this defeat from Lucknow, the team's owner Shahrukh Khan was very sad but he sent a special message to boost the morale of his team. After losing the match to Lucknow, Shahrukh Khan's letter was read in the Kolkata dressing room.
What did Shahrukh Khan write in the letter?
KKR's team manager Venkatesh Mysore read SRK's message, in which he asked the players not to lose courage and learn from this defeat. Shahrukh wrote in the message, 'This is a sad defeat because we were very close, but we have got many positive things from this match, we can fight and score big, sometimes even our best is not enough. Today was one such day.'
SRK reminded the players that, 'we were just one ball, one hit away,' and asked them to move on leaving this defeat behind. He ended the message by writing, 'If you look at it sensibly, I think such heartbreak brings the team closer.'
KKR lost the match
Kolkata Knight Riders could have won the match against Lucknow. At one time Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer had given the team hope of victory but then this team lost five wickets very quickly and in the end KKR lost. KKR now has to play its next match against Chennai Super Kings on April 11. This match will be held in Chepauk.
