The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has released the official calendar for the upcoming Umrah season, outlining key dates for international pilgrims in the Islamic year 1447 and Georgian year 2025-2026.
International pilgrims will be allowed to begin performing Umrah from June 11, 2025. Visa issuance for the new season will start one day earlier, on June 10, 2025 (14 Dhul Hijjah 1446). To support timely preparations, service agreements between Umrah companies and foreign agents must be completed by May 27, 2025 (29 Dhul Qadah 1446).
As per a report by Gulf News, authorities in Saudi began preparations in March by launching digital platforms such as the “Nusuk” and “Umrah Path” systems. These tools aim to improve transparency and coordination for millions of pilgrims expected from abroad.
Formal signing of service contracts began on April 14 during the 2025 Hajj and Umrah Services Forum, which included participants from various countries to discuss logistical planning for the season.
The ministry has also issued a set of deadlines. The last date to issue Umrah visas will be March 20, 2026 (1 Shawwal 1447). Pilgrims must arrive in Saudi Arabia by April 3, 2026 (15 Shawwal 1447), and all international pilgrims are required to leave by April 18, 2026 (1 Dhul Qadah 1447).
External agents must submit qualification requests and finalize contracts with Umrah operators by January 20, 2026 (1 Sha’ban 1447).
The ministry stated that the schedule is intended to ensure a well-organised season and allow pilgrims to plan their visit with clarity.
