In an industry where star kids often make headlines for luxury cars and lavish holidays, Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan is quietly rewriting the script—one rickshaw ride at a time. Despite having debuted with Maharaj on OTT and recently stepping into cinemas with Loveyapa opposite Khushi Kapoor, the young actor is known not for his starry tantrums but for his simplicity and restraint. And it’s not just for show—Junaid genuinely prefers public transport, much to the disbelief of his superstar father.
In a recent interview with The New India, Aamir Khan revealed that his son Junaid has never owned a car, even after acting in two films. Despite having access to his father’s cars, Junaid prefers to use public transport and ride-sharing apps like Ola. Aamir also recalled how Junaid once travelled from Kerala to Bengaluru for a wedding on an overnight state transport bus instead of booking a flight.
Junaid has previously explained that his lifestyle choices aren’t about rejecting luxury but simply choosing what’s practical. For instance, he finds taking a local train to Mira Road faster than being stuck in traffic for hours in a car. According to him, rickshaws make navigating the city easier and eliminate the hassle of finding parking, making them his preferred mode of travel in Mumbai.
