Agartala (Tripura) [India], October 11 (ANI): Two Bangladeshi women were arrested at Agartala railway station in Tripura for entering India illegally, officials said on Thursday.
The two women, identified as Rabbana Akter (20) and Asma Khatun (22), crossed into India from Bangladesh without proper documentation and were planning to travel to another state by train, they said.
According to officials, the arrests were made following a joint operation by the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF), Border Security Force (BSF), and intelligence agencies.
A case has been registered at Agartala GRP Police Station and they will be produced before a court Friday, they added.
