1988’s Veerana mixes horror, supernatural and eroticism in one action-packed film and stars Jasmin Dhunna. When a woman gets possessed by the spirit of an evil witch, she becomes bloodthirsty and begins to seduce people in order to quench her thirst. The film comes with mystery, thrill and a splash of sacrifice.

The Indian adaptation of the much-loved The Vampire Diaries, the series follows the story of two vampire brothers battling for the love of one human girl. Despite being a scene-for-scene adaptation, the show does not fail to bring its own cards to the table. It has its own twists and charms that help it stand out from the original show.

Piya’s college life takes an unexpected turn when she falls in love with a new guy in Dehradun. Unfortunately for her, it pushes her into the world of vampires. The story takes its time in expanding on the vampires’ lore in full Ekta Kapoor fashion as Vivian Dsena and Sukriti Kandpal take on their roles with pure perfection.
Having taken inspiration from The Vampire Diaries and The Twilight Saga, it doesn’t fail to embrace its’ vampy side.
5. Tooth Pari: When Love Bites © Netflix
Tanya Maniklata and Shantanu Maheshwari dive into an unexpected bloody romance with 2023’s Tooth Pari: When Love Bites. A vampire losing her tooth seems bizarre enough, but then she also ends up falling in love with her dentist.
