Another piece of silverware could be the perfect farewell for Gyokeres with transfer links starting to ramp up ahead of the summer window opening in a few weeks. With that being said, football.london has rounded up the latest updates on Gyokeres' future.

'Agreement' claims

Arsenal appear to be going all in for Gyokeres with claiming that the with an agreement on personal terms already struck.

They have added it has been agreed he will sign a five-year contract expected to be worth around £175,000 per-week.

Prior to all of that, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claimed an agreement was also in place between Sporting and Gyokeres that would allow him to leave for lower than his £84million (€100m) release clause. Their new asking price was noted as being anywhere between £54.6million (€65m) and £58.8million (€70m).

Gyokeres on transfer links

Despite being six months apart,

"It's not something I think about, nor something I give any importance to," Gyokeres said when quizzed on transfer talk in November. "It's just rumours, nothing concrete.

"Of course I want to finish the season at Sporting, I'm enjoying my time there. "I don't feel stressed about making a change in the future. We'll see when the time comes."

"It's football, I'm still here," the 26-year-old told Portuguese broadcaster Sport.TV, as per , after Sporting's title triumph. "I don't know what's going to happen. Nobody can predict the future."

Arteta and Berta stance

As per the , new sporting director Andrea Berta is a huge fan of Gyokeres with interest in acquiring his services stepping up following his arrival in March.

However, it does not look as though Arteta sees things that way with Newcastle United's Alexander Isak his dream target. With their asking price extremely high, it is very unlikely that deal is financially achievable and thus a back-up option will need to be identified but that is not believed to be Gyokeres.

Instead, it is RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko that he is a big fan of with the Slovenia international strongly linked last season only to sign a new contract in Germany.
