This Morning descended into chaos during the latest episode of the ITV daytime show as presenter Cat Deeley accidentally turned the air blue by swearing live on air.

The 47-year-old host was back on the famous blue alongside co-star Ben Shephard on Thursday (September 19) and the pair tried their hand at cake decorating.

Following the news that September is the most popular birthday month, baking expert Juliet Sear appeared on the programme to explain how to decorate the perfect cake.

However, things didn't quite go to plan when she let Cat and Ben take over after handing them the icing tube. A giggling Cat was clearly overwhelmed and accidentally swore.

Ben quickly jumped in to apologise to viewers watching at home after his co-host Cat said "s**t" while getting muddled up in the icing drama.

The latest chaotic segment comes after viewers complained minutes into the latest show as fans watched Juliet tell Ben that he was cutting the cake incorrectly. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "How to cut a cake, how to put stuff away. Now sure how we'd cope without these invaluable life hacks on #ThisMorning."

Another added: 'How to cut a cake this show has got so much worse #ThisMorning." A third person said: "So now we have people telling us how to cut cake properly." A fourth social media user said: "Those are some stingy cake portions. #ThisMorning."

It comes just days after fans accused This Morning bosses for "trying to make them hate the show even more" after inviting a woman who celebrates Christmas ever day onto the show.

During the show's festive segment, a woman surrounded by festive decorations revealed she celebrates the holiday all year round because she never knows when her children are going to turn up because they work away.

She admitted that she constantly has the stockings filled and will happily have a Christmas roast dinner any day of the year. After the streamed interview, show hosts Ben and Cat announced it was 100 days until December, 25.

Upset by the early arrival of Christmas celebrations, viewers flocked to X, to share their discontent. One viewer penned: "Oh grow up, stupid woman! Where did this ridiculous obsession with bringing Christmas earlier every year come from.

Another added: "Well done producers, you have made the viewers hate the show even more. F****n Christmas segments in September." A third person said: "I love Christmas because it’s not everyday of the year, it’s a special time of year which I love decorating the house for but I couldn’t do that everyday of the year."

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am
